The Modern Cigar Library LLC ("we", "us", "the Library") operates moderncigarlibrary.com. We are based in South Florida, USA.

What we collect

  • Email address. When you sign up for launch notifications or newsletters.
  • Account information. If you create an account, we store your email, display name, and any preferences you set.
  • Humidor and review data. If you use Premium features, we store the cigars and reviews you add. This stays private to your account unless you choose to make a review public.
  • Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting tool that does not track individuals or set cookies. We see aggregated traffic patterns, not personal data.
  • Payment information. Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see your card details.

How we use it

  • To send you launch notifications and the newsletter, only when you have opted in
  • To deliver Premium features (humidor, reviews, wishlist)
  • To process subscription payments
  • To respond to your messages
  • To improve the site, based on aggregated, anonymous analytics

  • Supabase (database, authentication, storage)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • ConvertKit / Kit (email marketing)
  • Resend (transactional email like password resets)
  • Plausible (privacy-respecting analytics)
  • Cloudflare (DNS and CDN)

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or full deletion of your account at any time by emailing us through the contact page. We honor GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), and similar regulations.

Age requirement

This site is for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
